The Operations Supervisor is responsible for:

Higher certificate in warehouse management
Safety and ISO understanding safety critical components.
Licenced to drive a forklift, high reach truck and or tow motor
2-3 years’ warehouse experience (automotive warehousing to external experience would be advantageous)

MEASURABLE OUTPUTS
Provide support to all production team members with daily functions (as well as absence cover).
Maintain kanban operations based on the lead times.
Co-ordinate daily unpacking of stock to maintain just in time operations.
Lead, coach, and motivate team members to achieve operational excellence.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards at all times.
Monitor and improve workflow efficiency to meet performance targets.
Co-ordination and maintain accurate stock control and inventory management (FIFO, AGE stock and ECI parts)
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement best practices.
Good command of the English language for business communication

TECHNICAL PRE-REQUISITE
Able to operate heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, high reach truck and or tow motor)
Familiarity with warehouse management system and participate in cycle and stock count.
Familiarity with SAP / scanning system to maintain stock accuracy.
Knowledge of ER (Employee Relations) and team member support
Understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
Knowledge of health and safety protocols and guidelines, maintain an organized (5S) warehouse environment.
Administration and reporting NG stock.

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for experienced and suitably qualified Driver: Forklift &amp; Reach Truck  to join the Steering Rack Assembly team based in Durban.
Purpose of the job:
To provide ongoing support to TSAM &amp; TTAF by, receiving, unpacking, preparing, feeding the assembly line, as well as storing and picking finished good, timeously and within quality specifications to be despatched to TSAM to meet their Milk- run collection and operational requirements.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Experiential and Educational requirements:
Matric
Numeracy and Literacy
A valid Forklift &amp; Reach Truck licence
Driving experience (minimum of 2 years driving experience on both machines is required).
Visual inspection and confirmation ability.
Safety and ISO.
SAP system and scanner use knowledge. SAP/ FIFO principals
Material handling related experience.
Kanban system, Knowledge and skill(advantageous)
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Complete the machine checklist daily and report any defects on the machine.
Conduct daily battery check and maintenance if required.
Maintain and control stock.
Ensure accuracy of stock received, put away and despatched.
Ensure safe handling pallets &amp; modules and adhere to the stacking requirements.
Adhere to all standard operating procedures (or Work Instructions) to ensure quality
Compliance to Safety standards to prevent accidents and/or incidents.
Willing to work overtime and support customer demand and ensure continuous customer satisfaction.
Conduct daily bin audit with strict adherence to FIFO (First in First Out)
Assist with stock take preparation and participate with regular stock counts.
Conduct housekeeping daily (5s activities).
Participate in kaizen’s and submit near misses to ensure continuous improvement of all processes!
Report any defects or irregularities to ensure that safety and quality is always upheld.
Daily Job tasks are not limited to the above activities.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Adhere to standard operating procedure (or Work instructions) to ensure quality and safety.
Support daily production requirements within the allocated times.        
Ensure Quality of components assembled and packaged for delivery to the customer.
Support overtime requirements in line with customer requirements and business requirements to ensure customer satisfaction.            
Conduct daily stock count with strict adherence to FIFO
Assist with stock take preparation and participate with regular stock counts.         
Submit team kaizen's and near misses to ensure continuous improvement of all processes.
Report any defects or irregularities to ensure that safety and quality is never compromised especially in regards to the assembling of safety critical components.
Record hourly and daily output and update on control board.
Support with printing of Kanban orders to replenish stock.            
Support P&amp;A requirements.
Compliance to  safety standards
Conduct housekeeping and safety standards walks daily.
Daily Job tasks are not limited to the above activities.
