To ensure effective and efficient management of the Body & Paint Workshop in line with Company guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
· Monitor and schedule work to ensure efficient utilization of B & P technicians' times.
· Ensure achievement of total BP turnover against planned budgets.
· Monitor trade debtor over dues or cash outstanding for the BP department
· Monitor department expenses to ensure that they are within budget
· Coordinate the relationship with insurance & insurance brokers for improved Thru'put
· Monitor job quality through quality control inspections to minimize repeat repairs and complaints.
· Monitor customer satisfaction and complaints for increased retention & satisfaction rate.
· Liaise with the Training Manager to support training and development of BP Personnel
· Monitor workshop environmental and safety issues; eliminate accidents within the workshop
Ensure customer confidence through clean and orderly BP operation and ensure CFAO facility standards are maintained.
Minimum Qualification
Professional qualifications in automotive engineering (Degree in Automotive and/or Mechanical Engineering)
Considerable knowledge and experience in service operations, with a bias in Body & paint operation
General automotive business knowledge;
5 years' experience in mechanical engineering disciplines, with at least 3 years at a managerial level in the automotive industry
