We looking for a Driver: Forklift & High Reach M/F  based : South Africa

 

 

Job description:

 

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for experienced and suitably qualified Driver: Forklift & Reach Truck  to join the Steering Rack Assembly team based in Durban. 

Purpose of the job:
To provide ongoing support to TSAM & TTAF by, receiving, unpacking, preparing, feeding the assembly line, as well as storing and picking finished good, timeously and within quality specifications to be despatched to TSAM to meet their Milk- run collection and operational requirements.

 

 

Profil request:

 

Experiential and Educational requirements:

  • Matric
  • Numeracy and Literacy
  • A valid Forklift & Reach Truck licence
  • Driving experience (minimum of 2 years driving experience on both machines is required).
  • Visual inspection and confirmation ability.
  • Safety and ISO.
  • SAP system and scanner use knowledge. SAP/ FIFO principals
  • Material handling related experience.
  • Kanban system, Knowledge and skill(advantageous)

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Complete the machine checklist daily and report any defects on the machine.
  • Conduct daily battery check and maintenance if required.
  • Maintain and control stock.
  • Ensure accuracy of stock received, put away and despatched.
  • Ensure safe handling pallets & modules and adhere to the stacking requirements.
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures (or Work Instructions) to ensure quality
  • Compliance to Safety standards to prevent accidents and/or incidents.
  • Willing to work overtime and support customer demand and ensure continuous customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct daily bin audit with strict adherence to FIFO (First in First Out)
  • Assist with stock take preparation and participate with regular stock counts.
  • Conduct housekeeping daily (5s activities).
  • Participate in kaizen’s and submit near misses to ensure continuous improvement of all processes!
  • Report any defects or irregularities to ensure that safety and quality is always upheld.
  • Daily Job tasks are not limited to the above activities.
