Job description:
We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a suitably qualified General Manager - Service to join Africa Mobility Solutions. This is a locally based contract in Johannesburg South Africa.
PURPOSE OF JOB
The General Manager of the Service Department will oversee all service operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient workflows, and profitability. To lead the team of Distributor Support Managers, Trainers and CRM staff to support distributors to improve operational efficiencies that satisfy customers. This role requires strong leadership and a focus on continuous improvement.

• >10 years automotive experience (specifically service and CRM management experience)
• 5-10 years management experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop strategies for AMS — service and distributors
2. Support distributors with action plan deployment
3. Prepare budget for AMS — Service
4. Support distributor budget preparations
5. Team and distributor Human Resource Development
6. Genchi Gembutsu by travelling to all responsible distributors for on the ground support
7. Distributor network expansion support
8. Capacity study and future forecast
9. Facility study and layout
10. AMS Service monthly and annual reporting
11. Monitor distributor monthly reports
12. Distributor financial performance analysis
13. Preparation for Top Management presentations
14. Maintain and improve working relations with TTC/CFAO/ Distributors and TSAM
15. Deploy distributor business projects for business growth
16. Provide support for marketing activities
17. Business plan development
18. Support all ANZEN activities at AMS and distributors
19. Operational Kaizen improvement at AMS and distributors
20. Parts and Service synchronization support
21. Special Service Campaign, Field Technical Reports and Warranty management
22. PADA implementation and target achievement
23. Fix It Right deployment and support
24. Monitor TSM-FIR evaluation and certification criteria
25. Monitor Customer Retention activities and support
26. Plan and co-ordinate Cross Regional Unit conferences
27. Support CRM activities
ESSENTIAL TRAINING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop strategy for AMS, Training Centres and Distributors, provide direction to training managers
2. Support AMS Training Managers with action plan deployment
3. Understand and support distributor on training matters.
4. Develop distributor training department and teams
5. Understand and deploy OEM training strategies and roll out requirements.
6. Support development, co-ordination, presentation and development of training programs and materials.
7. Training Policy Guideline formulation and development
8. Policy/Guideline implementation of training standards and support activities.
9. Genchi Gembutsu by travelling to training centres for training standards evaluations,
10. Identification and implementation of required training projects including skills contest management
11. Training reports management
12, Human Resource Development (internal and external)
ESSENTIAL REPAIR SUPPORT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop and support Repair Support Request (RSR) quality improvement
2. Liaise with TSAM on all RSR requests from distributors
3. Provide initial repair support to distributors through Distributor Support Managers
