We looking for a Parts Manager - CASE Division Nakuru Branch   based : Kenya

 

 

Job description:

 

The Parts Manager reports to the DGM- Agrimechanization. He/She will be responsible for Parts Supervisor, Field Sales Executives, Counter Sales Executives and Parts Inventory Analyst.

Purpose of the Job

Driving the parts business to achieve the budget targets for the department. He/she will manage the supply chain(procurement, logistics, Inventory management and warehousing) and develop aggressive sales strategies to achieve revenue and profit targets and meet customer expectations.

Main Responsibilities of the Job

Managerial/Supervisory

a)      Managing and ensuring the correct number and quality of staff in place to achieve the set targets and customer satisfaction.

b)      Responsible for the operational and qualitative performance of the parts department by defining, measuring and analysing the key performance indicators(KPIs) to ensure achievement of the expected results  

c)       Propose the annual Sales business plan for both Parts and ensure attainment of revenue, GP and customer satisfaction

d)      Aggressively explore new business opportunities through all available channels focusing on Dealers, Fleet customers, Stockists, Authorised service centres, Tenders, National / County government, donor funded projects and individual customers

e)       Preparing monthly forecasts and action plans to achieve the set plan and report the same to senior Management

f)        Set individual targets for each team member and track actual results against set targets, to include required action to achieve OB.

g)      Responsible for and supervision of stock control of all Parts and take responsibility for perpetual stock take weekly, monthly and bi-annual stock take of the same.

Operational Responsibilities 

-          Parts sales development

o   Expand parts sales through branches, dealers, authorised service centres, stockist and directly to fleet and retail customers 

o   Undertake periodic competitor price analysis to ensure competitive pricing through timely negotiations with manufacturers and undertake periodic price reviews to ensure competitiveness and attainment of budget GP 

o   Scan the market for new opportunities – Tenders, Lease and framework contracts

o   Plan and coordinate execution of parts sales and marketing promotions – Seasonal packages, service clinics, open days etc

o   Regular field visits to understand the market dynamics and customer expectations

o   Expand product offerings in-line with the market demand 

o   Continuous and timely update to customers regarding their orders  

-          Warehousing 

o   Set up and manage Central Parts Depot (CPD)- Receiving, Binning, Despatch, perpetual and annual Stock take

o   Refine operations of the retail store to make it agile and efficient in support of workshop and retail customers 

-          Inventory management: 

o   Coordinate demand analysis, review, ordering, order follow –up and timely review of ageing parts for quick actions to reduce obsolescence

 

 

Profil request:

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

a)      Degree in Agricultural /Automotive Engineering or other relevant field

b)      7 years of relevant working experience with minimum 5 years at a Supervisory level in an organisation of similar size of operations
