We are looking for a  Quality Assistant M/F  based :  Kenya

Job Description :

We are seeking dedicated and results-driven individual to join our team as a Quality Assistant at our Head Office. 

The successful candidate will report to the Company Pharmacist and Quality Manager and will be responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) processes, ensuring all products are stored, handled, and distributed in compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and relevant regulatory requirements, and ensuring compliance with the Quality Management Systems.

Requested profile :

Quality Management 

  • Assisting the Company Pharmacist and Quality manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system(s) to ensure its continual improvement throughout the organization
  • Assisting in drafting and formulating the required procedures and policies for an effective QMS
  • Assisting in training employees on the quality management systems, programs, policies and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with QMS requirements
  • General administration of the QMS and related processes
  • Assist the Company Pharmacist and Quality manager in ensuring that the internal control policies are in place as per CFAO policies by liaising with the relevant departments or employees to ensure the policies are implemented.
  • Manage and track deviations, complaints, and incidents, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
  • Conduct routine inspections of warehousing and distribution activities to verify compliance with company policies and GDP

Risk Management

  • Assist in coordinating GDP activities in collaboration with Company Pharmacist and Quality manager and the warehouse manager.
  • Assist the Company Pharmacist and Quality manager in implementing regulatory requirements for GDP. 

Documentation And Record Keeping

  • Ensure all Quality documentation is properly maintained and readily accessible for review, including batch records, quality control logs, inspection reports, and compliance forms
  • Assist in creating, modifying and updating SOPs to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and best practices
  • Compile and archive records for audits, inspections and internal reviews  

Corrective Action Management

  • Support identification, documentation and investigation of non-conformance incidents e.g., discrepancies, product defects and quality issues
  • Assist in development and implementation of CAPAs to address non-conformance, ensuring proper resolution and follow-up actions
  • Document and maintain records of complaints, returns or product quality issues, working with the company pharmacist and quality manager
  • Support in preparing presentation of CAPA reports for management review and follow-up on closed CAPA actions to assess the effectiveness of implemented solutions to ensure they do not recur

Occupational Health and Safety Management

In collaboration with the Human Resource Department and the Company Pharmacist and Quality Manager, the Quality Assistant is involved in driving system compliance throughout the organization and providing assistance, advice and training employees on the management of OHS systems, programs and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and industry best practices.
