We looking for a Maintenance Fitter M/F based : South Africa
Job description:
A position exists for a qualified and experienced fitter at Toyota Tsusho South Africa Processing (Pty) Ltd in the Maintenance Department, based at Prospecton.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
- Attend to mechanical breakdowns
- Service and repair of mechanical equipment.
- Preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Conduct projects
- Standby duties
- Conduct safety inspection.
- Upgrade equipment for improved performance at reduction of maintenance cost.
- PMS (Planned Maintenance Systems).
- Attend to crane breakdowns up to 30Ton
- Attend to care and maintenance of blanking dies
Profil request:
Minimum qualification:
DELIVERABLES/KPAs
- Work to high levels of safety.
- Apply trade-specific techniques & practices.
- Communicate in terms of work sheets / on the job instructions
- Diagnose trade-specific problems.
- Interpret trade-specific plans and flow diagrams
- Update trade specific knowledge as the specific area develops.
- Work to tight trade-specific tolerances
COMPETENCIES/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Minimum 2 years Experience in Manufacturing & Production Environment
- Ability to do mechanical breakdowns (Hydraulic and Pneumatic)
- MUST BE PREPARED TO WORK SHIFTS and OVERTIME
- Show commitment to high outputs without sacrifice to the highest standards of safety
- Some electrical knowledge would be advantageous
