Profil demandé :

Goods Reception

  • Receiving and dispatching goods
  • Checking the correct quantity and type of goods have been received
  • Recording any damaged, missing, or faulty goods
  • Signing the delivery form upon confirming that the goods have been received in full and in proper condition
  • Moving the goods to the correct area within the warehouse, either manually or using mechanical handling equipment

Storage and Stock Control

  • Allocating storage space to goods
  • Relocating and re- stacking goods to make space for a new stock
  • Keeping records (often computerized) of goods, their location and quantity
  • Re-ordering when stock levels are low
  • Ensuring physical narcotic records are updated and tally with the system levels
  • Daily random counts of physical stock

Dispatch of goods

  • Picking goods that have been ordered/invoiced
  • Keeping records of goods which are to be delivered
  • Preparing dispatch notes and labels
  • Moving and stacking goods ready for delivery, either by hand or using machinery
  • Confirming the goods to be dispatched against the invoice.

General Responsibilities

  • Compliance with security procedures, health and safety
  • Maintaining the warehouse in a tidy state and clearing away packing material and debris
  • Using computerized systems and other technology to record movement of goods.

In addition to the above duties, the individual may have additional responsibility for:

  • Liaising with external clients
  • Arranging carriage of goods to the clients’ premises
  • Quality control of goods in and/or goods out
  • Temperature monitoring of storage areas
