Job Description :

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

To qualify for consideration, the following requirements are essential:

  • Grade12/Matric with excellent technical knowledge in the Motor Industry and Motor Industry related admin experience. 

 

 

Profil Request :

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Supervise and liaise with Foreman or Workshop Controller.
  • Satisfy and meet customer needs by maintaining efficient and speedy repairs and service.
  • Ensure maximum sales with regards to hours.
  • Attend to and satisfactorily resolve customer queries.
  • Contact existing and potential customers to obtain additional business.
  • Liaise with admin regarding staff requirements and ensure that all documentation is completed, updated and submitted for processing.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are serviced and maintained to customers’ requirements.
  • Supervise and productively control all workshop staff.
  • Maintain discipline amongst workshop staff.
  • Assist productive staff when problems are encountered.
  • Liaise with key staff to ensure that deadlines are adhered to.
  • Authorize internal parts requisitions from productive staff.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out according to the franchise standards.
  • Ensure that all productive staff accurately record work performed on the back of the job card.
  • Ensure that work is carried out within the laid down flat rate times as far as possible.
  • Ensure that workshop policies and procedures are adhered to in respect of general admin function.
  • Ensure that all costing and claims are correct and done on a daily basis.
  • Ensure effective control procedures apply to all vehicles booked in for servicing.
  • Ensure that no vehicle leaves the workshop without payment being effected
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Ensure the tools and equipment are kept in good working order
  • Analyze come-backs, discuss with the productive staff responsible and institute/introduce effective remedial action.
  • Liaise daily with parts department regarding outstanding parts on order and communication with customer.
  • Ensure that claim parts are returned to the warranty store.
  • Minimize unproductive time.
  • Control issuing of consumable materials.
  • Maintain and update technical knowledge and skills.
  • Carry out additional duties from time to time at the discretion of management.
  • Ensure that all Service Plan jobs are invoiced on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that all campaign claims are invoiced daily.
  • Inform customers of extra work required and prepare quotation accordingly.
  • Inform customer when the vehicle is ready for collection.
  • Take service bookings when required.
  • Ensure authorization is obtained from customer/F.O./Lease company before commencement of all work.
  • Any ad hoc admin/ other responsibilities as and when required.
