Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Branch Manager at our Nairobi (Koinange branch).
The successful candidate will report to the Sales and Marketing Director and will be responsible for managing branch operations as a profitable cost center while ensuring a highly motivated and productive team.
Requested profile :
Operations
- Manage the branch operations in terms of warehousing, assets, sales and marketing, financials and staffing
- Facilitate stock management through maintaining adequate stock levels and defining the appropriate product mix
- Ensure proper records are kept for all drugs
- Manage dispatch and deliveries to customers
Human resources
- Provide the necessary leadership to attract, develop and retain employees
- Participate in sourcing, recruitment, training and coaching of branch employees
- Motivate to retain branch employees as well as carry out their performance appraisals
- Manage leave for branch employees and workload management during absence (s)
Sales and marketing
- Drive sales and the achievement of targets through planning marketing strategies and implementing designed plans
- Act as the relationship manager for key customers
- Drive retail footprint within the branch territory through recruitment and new accounts.
- Ensure that retail accounts are activated through constant engagements and regular purchases.
- Monitor tender business at the branch level and ensure channels are kept open for institutions
- Identify and source for tenders either through existing relationships or through new potential clients
- Ensure quotations and tenders are processed
- Liaise closely with Supplier Representatives within their territory to ensure business relationships are developed /maintained to enhance and grow market share
Finance
- Monitor variance with respect to the current sales budget
- Implement credit control policy, coordinate and facilitate debt collection through the Branch Accountant
- Facilitate the process of opening new accounts
Quality & Pharmaceutical
- Develop internal branch processes in liaison with management and the quality department
- Implement internal controls for the processes and constantly review their adequacy
- Regularly review the processes with the aim of improving the branch efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with good distribution/ storage practices in line with the World Health Organization requirements to guarantee;

- Patient safety
- Identification and traceability of all products and batches
- Ensure the branch complies with Pharmacy and poisons board’s requirements and any other statutory regulation for pharmaceutical distributors/ businesses.
Reporting
- Prepare timely and accurate client visit reports
