Profile
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Sales & Marketing tertiary qualification advantageous
• Must have an understanding of GDS systems
• Domestic Leisure, Corporate, Travel,Government, Replacement experience and knowledge
• Minimum of 5 years previous sales experience in the service / travel industry
• Car rental / travel agency / hotel experience advantageous
• Valid driver’s license (Code 08)
• Strong English & Afrikaans (verbal and written)
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• The ability to negotiate effectively with clients
• General sales – new business focus and ability to manage existing accounts & portfolio
• Be able to setup events & presentations both internally and externally with customers
• Accounts management – debtors / accounts
Job Specification:
• Must be able to do annual budgeting & forecasting
• Strong telesales / cold calling experience – converting a potential customer into an revenue generating account
• Able to research and find quality potential customers (Contacts, web search & area mapping)
• Managed and prospects in these various account applications (Corporate, Travel Agencies & Replacement segments)
• Must be able to identify new business opportunities, generate new business sales & manage existing portfolios
• New business is critical to the success of a portfolio, therefore experience is essential
• Must have a strong understanding of the new Business Cycle from sourcing the customer, courting the customer and closing the deal
• Increasing organization revenue, achieve set targets, therefore a strong emphasis is set on customer retention and growth. Targets are set and must be achieved on customer growth & retention
• Maintain and increase market share within the existing portfolio
• Be an innovative, creative, logical & strategic thinker with an assertive attitude
• Must be able to assist customers with their invoicing to ensure that the debtor’s age analysis is kept to 30 days
• Excellent organizational skills & MS Office Suite proficient

- Research the client and understand their business, check which major corporations they are affiliated to or owned by, and check if they have sister companies and if they do, see if they are using Hertz as a supplier and if not, get them on board
- Sell the benefits of our B2B website – booking tool to customers
- Do frequent Educational with travel bookers to showcase new vehicles
- Review their needs every 12 months and compare to the rates
- Call on clients every month according to the call plan
