Job description:
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To carry out wheel alignment and balancing of wheels on vehicles, as per instruction from Service Advisor/Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
To qualify for consideration, the following requirements are essential:
- Sufficient knowledge of camber and caster and towing
- Grade 12 qualification/ equivalent.
- Clean criminal record.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English.

Job Specification:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- To carry out wheel alignment on vehicles as per specification starting with tyre pressures, etc.
- To report to Service Advisor/Manager on faulty items, i.e. shocks, wheel bearings etc.
- Balance wheels as required.
- To carry out additional work as per Job Card instruction and ensure that instructions are understood. To ask for assistance from the technician should any instruction not be clear.
- To always use the correct tool for the job, including any special tools.
- To carry out all tasks as per service schedules and ensure that these tasks are done according to the required specification, if so instructed to do so by supervisor.
- To ensure that the workshop area (including benches) is clean at all times.
- To report equipment failure, etc., to Service Manager/Advisor.
- To ensure that all requests as per Job Card are carried out 100%.
