We looking for a Costing Officers M/F  based : Uganda

 

Job description:

Job purpose

To ensure achievement of service revenue budget through accurate and timely costing of all workshop jobs and dispatch of quotations to customers in time.

 

Profil request:

Key responsibilities 

  • Prepare job quotations as per defect reports and ensure timely dispatch to customers. 
  • Carry out accurate costing of jobs as per flat rate manual and hence achievement of departmental targets.
  • Work with the Parts Sales team to ensure timely receipt of parts quotations to facilitate quotations. 
  • Timely and accurately communicate quotation status to Service Advisors and Supervisors.
  • Ensure adherence to CFAO standards of job costings to avoid revenue losses.
  • Daily reporting on work in progress (WIP) and actively participate in WIP management, ensuring no overaged jobs. 
  • Carry out the service delivery to the customers using the "7-steps service procedures" and CFAO standards basic requirements. 
  • Carry out workshop consumable purchases, stocking & inventory management.
  • Carry out workshop sublet purchases, stocking & billing. 

 

Educational and experiential qualifications

  • Diploma in automotive & power/mechanical engineering or Advanced Motor Vehicle certificate or related course.
  • Technical understanding of workshop operations. 
  • Job billing and costing knowledge
  • At least two (02) years of experience in the automotive industry
