Job Description :

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12/ equivalent
  • Qualified Red Seal Technician
  • Minimum of 5 years practical Technician experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as Foreman/ Supervisor and ability to manage and lead a team.
  • Practical knowledge and experience within the NISSAN brand beneficial.
  • Valid SA Driver's license and reliable transport.
  • Good professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Clean criminal record

Job Specification:

 

  • Ensure that all vehicles are serviced and maintained to customers' requirements.
  • Supervise and productively control all workshop staff.
  • Maintain discipline amongst workshop staff.
  • Assist productive staff when problems are encountered.
  • Liaise with key staff to ensure that deadlines are adhered to.
  • Authorize internal parts requisitions from productive staff.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out according to the TOYOTA franchise standards.
  • Ensure that all productive staff accurately record work performed on the back of the job card.
  • Ensure that work is carried out within the established flat rate times as far as possible.
  • Ensure that workshop policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure that all costing and claims are correct and timeous.
  • Ensure effective control procedures apply to all vehicles booked in for servicing.
  • Ensure that no vehicle leaves the workshop without payment being affected.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Ensure that workshop complies with safety and health regulations.
  • Ensure that tools and equipment are kept in good working order.
  • Analyze come backs, discuss with the productive staff responsible and institute/introduce effective remedial action.
  • Liaise with parts department regarding outstanding parts on order.
  • Ensure that claims parts are returned to parts department.
  • Minimize unproductive time.
  • Control issuing of consumable materials.
  • Maintain and update technical knowledge and skills.
  • Carry out ad hoc duties from time to time at the discretion of management.
  • Ad hoc admin/ other responsibilities as and when required.
