Job description:

The National Financial Administrator plays a critical role in supporting the financial administration and accounting functions of the company. This position primarily focuses on the administration of national creditors' accounts, ensuring accurate reconciliation between supplier statements and the purchase ledger, preparation of supplier payments, opening of customer accounts for branches, and posting of nominal ledger journals. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for various administrative tasks within the National Finance Team to support financial efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Accounts Payable Administration:

 

Reconcile supplier statements with the purchase ledger to ensure accuracy.
Prepare and process supplier payments within agreed payment terms.
Liaise with suppliers and resolve any account discrepancies or queries promptly.
Maintain accurate records of supplier invoices and payments in the financial system.


Customer Account Administration:

 

Oversee the opening of customer accounts for branches, ensuring adherence to company policies and credit control procedures.
Verify and process customer account applications, obtaining necessary approvals.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records.


General Financial Administration:

 

Post nominal ledger journals and ensure proper allocation of financial transactions.
Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
Support the National Finance Team in financial reporting, reconciliations, and other administrative duties.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
 

 

Other Duties:

 

Provide administrative support to the finance department, including document management and filing.
Assist with audits and financial reviews by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient financial operations.
Perform any other finance-related tasks as required by the National Finance Manager.
