Job Description :

 

 

Purpose of Position 

 To carry out driving duties in respect of deliveries and collections in a prompt and efficient manner, according to instruction.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12/ equivalent.
  • Good verbal and written communication and literacy skills in English and Afrikaans.
  • Ability to carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • A valid, unendorsed driver's license with the appropriate vehicle codes. 
  • Satisfactory visual, hearing and health to legally carry out work responsibilities.

 

 

Profil Request :

 

Key duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Report daily to an appointed duty controller as set out by management.
  • Deliver and collect parts, mail, cheques and specific equipment.       
  • Assist in the cleaning and preparation of vehicles when required.      
  • To attend to duties required efficiently and timeously without violation of any traffic laws.
  • To ensure the safekeeping of company assets under his/her control at all times.
  • Fill in log sheets and delivery book after every trip.
  • Ensure all vehicles are locked after hours and parked under cover.
  • To be neatly dressed at all times.
  • Not to smoke or eat in company or customer's vehicles.
  • Not to carry private passengers in the vehicle.
  • Not to use company or customer's vehicles for any form of private use.
  • To report any accident immediately to the manager and the authorities.
  • To assist with bi-annual stock takes.
  • To carry out any reasonable instruction from management.
  •  Any ad hoc admin/ other responsibilities as and when required
