Job Description :
Purpose of Position
To carry out driving duties in respect of deliveries and collections in a prompt and efficient manner, according to instruction.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12/ equivalent.
- Good verbal and written communication and literacy skills in English and Afrikaans.
- Ability to carry out verbal and written instructions.
- A valid, unendorsed driver's license with the appropriate vehicle codes.
- Satisfactory visual, hearing and health to legally carry out work responsibilities.
Profil Request :
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Report daily to an appointed duty controller as set out by management.
- Deliver and collect parts, mail, cheques and specific equipment.
- Assist in the cleaning and preparation of vehicles when required.
- To attend to duties required efficiently and timeously without violation of any traffic laws.
- To ensure the safekeeping of company assets under his/her control at all times.
- Fill in log sheets and delivery book after every trip.
- Ensure all vehicles are locked after hours and parked under cover.
- To be neatly dressed at all times.
- Not to smoke or eat in company or customer's vehicles.
- Not to carry private passengers in the vehicle.
- Not to use company or customer's vehicles for any form of private use.
- To report any accident immediately to the manager and the authorities.
- To assist with bi-annual stock takes.
- To carry out any reasonable instruction from management.
- Any ad hoc admin/ other responsibilities as and when required
