Mission description

The purpose of this position is to assist the SHEQ Officer to analyze, control and manage all aspects of SHEQ System in the KZN Region.

Profile

  • Assist with compiling the monthly sustainability report.
  • Drawing up requisitions and doing sundry purchases as may be needed by the department.
  • Assist in ensuring inspections meet set targets at all branches within the KZN Region and that necessary actions are taken to rectify any areas of concern within the time frames set.
  • Draw up and manage an effective PPE issue register, ordering of specialized PPE as requested.
  • Assist the departments with ASEC Requirements so that the region maintains its certification.
  • Assist with compiling and updating safety files as and when requested and required.
  • Assist with conducting and preparation of Internal Audits and External Audits.
  • Attending technicians meetings for SHEQ purposes (toolbox talks) and keeping record thereof.
  • Assist with IOD reporting, internal incident / accident investigations
  • Monthly/Weekly inspections as required to ensure compliance on site and ensuring actions are addressed to relevant departments. 
  • Assist with conducting safety, risk and environmental risk assessments.
