Mission description

The purpose of this position is to assist and support the National SHEQ Office with the implementation and maintenance of the SHEQ policies, procedures, systems, processes and practices within CFAO Equipment, Satellite branches and sites, which shall include, but not be limited to SHEQ data collection, data analysis, data verifications and report on aspects related to SHEQ.

Profile

Collate and verify data for Sustainability reporting.
Contractor control โ€“ safety compliance and access to site.
Ordering of PPE and stationary as needed.
Drawing up requisitions and doing sundry purchases as may be needed by the department.
Follow-up on IOD reporting, investigations and WCA claims.
Follow-up on surveillance programmes as per the OSHACT (e.g., noise, lux levels, medicals etc).
Collate, arrange, record and report on training as per OSHACT requirements โ€“ e.g., fire-fighting training, first aid training, etc.
Act as a Safety representative by assisting to conduct Monthly / weekly inspections as required by the OSHACT regulations.
Attend SHEQ meetings and keep record thereof.
Collate, arrange, record and report on OSHACT activities and meetings.
Responsible for all administrative work of the National SHEQ office.
Daily monitoring and weekly reports of Online Systems โ€“ Rapid Global, Isometrix, SharePoint and SUS.
Assist in gathering data for SHEQ reports by the National SHEQ Manager.
Manage an effective SHEQ filing system of the SHEQ department.
Drive customer service excellence (build and develop strong, loyal relationships with internal and external customers, foster and maintain dedication to service excellence in every aspect of work carried out; ensure timeous feedback / communication to management, etc.)
Assist to update compliance registers and standard checklists.
ยท        Assist in the implementation of the CFAO Equipment SHEQ strategy and programmes at branches and sites.

Inform National SHEQ Manager of all SHEQ deviations that have been recorded for actioning.
Maintain incident statistics, analyse trends and follow-up on remedial actions.
