Job Description :

 

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Be responsible for learner development support and management within the CFAO Mobility South Africa group to promote the learning culture within the dealerships. Special focus to be on the Toyota, Hino and Lexus Dealerships in liaison with Toyota Academy for Learning Africa (TALA).

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 qualification/ equivalent.
  • HR qualification (Diploma/Degree)
  • Clean criminal record.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1. Learner Development Management

  • Execute learner management through TALA’s Learner Management System [LMS] to ensure accurate, relevant, and reliable learner information.
  • Initiate and manage the learner’s learning journey through the LMS about enrolments, registrations, activations, pathway progression, Portfolio of Evidence [PoE] management, progress reporting.

2. Learner Support

  • Identify and respond to learner’s special needs and barriers to learning.
  • Guide and mentor learners regarding their learning, assessments, and recognition opportunities.
  • Respond to all employee and learner communication, and ensure escalation and resolution.
  • Represent the learner to TALA concerning information, queries, special needs, and concerns.

 3. Reporting & Feedback

  • Provide TALA and Dealer SDF with Annual Training Report – based on the training completed.
  • Report to, and evidence all training-related expenses with Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) and/or Training Manager.

4. Administration

  • Conduct dealer skills development administration.
  • Maintain necessary files and documentation to ensure skills audit readiness for Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR).

 5. Registration

  • Register self, SDF, and dealer staff on LMS.
  • Register learners on skills development programmes and/or Learnerships with TALA (LMS) and relevant legislative bodies (Merseta).
  • Apply with MerSETA for relevant workplace approvals. 

6. Communication

  • Liaise with Group Primary DLDC regarding training schedules, planning, training and progress reporting.
  • Collaborate with SDF regarding training plans, administration processes and requirements, special needs learners, and reporting requirements. 

7. Governance

  • Conduct duties and responsibilities within the parameters of TALA’s Quality Management System (QMS), and policies and procedures.
  • Ensure availability as an observer assessor during regional Final Integrated Summative Assessments (FISA). 

8. Coordination

  • Coordinate in-dealer planned skills development interventions.
  • Enroll all the in-dealer learners in line with the Manager’s approval and communicate the confirmations and completions.
  • Ensure that the course bookings for the year are in line and adequate for CSDP and VSDP requirements for each dealer.

 And any other duties as may be required in the Training and Development function.
