Job description:
Workshop Controller Summary
The Workshop Controller is a supervisory role within the Aftersales Service department at CFAO Mobility Rwanda. This position is critical for overseeing the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring that all services are delivered to customers on time and with high quality. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills to guide technicians and ensure compliance with both CFAO Anzen and Volkswagen performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Management: You'll coordinate all workshop operations, manage a team of technicians, and monitor their performance to ensure efficiency and quality.
Quality Control: A key part of the job is ensuring all repairs are done correctly the first time. You will oversee quality inspections to prevent repeat jobs and customer complaints.You will also apply the 5S principle and Kaizen within your work environment to improve quality and efficiency.
Operational Flow: You will be responsible for allocating work to technicians based on their skill level, conducting job costing, and monitoring work in progress to ensure timely service delivery. You'll also communicate with service advisors and assist the reception team with customer inquiries.
Technical Support: You will support your team by assisting with the diagnosis of complex repairs and passing on your knowledge.
Safety and Maintenance: You will ensure the workshop is clean and orderly, adhering to safety guidelines. Additionally, you'll be responsible for maintaining all workshop equipment to minimize disruptions.
Profil request:
What You'll Need:
A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
You must be a Certified Master Technician or a Qualified Diagnostic Technician.
A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a high level of computer literacy are essential.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills are a must.
