Job description:
CFAO Mobility Ghana Plc is looking for a driven, hands-on professional to join our dynamic Takoradi team as a Technician and help us keep our vehicles performing at their very best.
As a Technician, your mission is to deliver precise, high-quality maintenance and repair services on all technical, electrical units and body components, ensuring every vehicle meets manufacturer specifications and upholds our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Profil request:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following.
- Master the various repair techniques and always use the correct tools, equipment, and technical documentation. Apply manufacturers’ directives and safety rules.
- Take charge of vehicles, making sure that clocking is done when work starts and clock-out when work is stopped or completed.
- Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose faults on light vehicles, trucks and equipment based on customer’s briefing.
- Ensure protective coverings are always in place when working on a vehicle.
- Perform the requested work in accordance with the work order, ensuring that all units removed and changed are in correct working order.
- Look out for any additional work and non- compliance. Notify the team lead/ supervisor/manager and record all observations on the job card.
- Inform your team lead/supervisor/manager of any incident that is likely to delay vehicle delivery.
- Comply with the manufacturer’s analysis procedures and repair time schedules. Request for help from your team lead/supervisor/manager when necessary.
- Show initiative by performing small operations and checks that are necessary but not requested by the customer.
- Ensure that there are no more than 0.5% on return jobs for all major works done.
- Ensure the correct use of tools, parts and technical manuals or literatures.
- Ensure the vehicle is prepared appropriately (equipment and accessories are reset and old parts returned).
- Collect all information needed to organise a warranty claim where necessary (take pictures).
- For offsite repairs, ensure the customer endorses the waybill before leaving the work site.
- For offsite repairs, ensure the service report is filled with all details and endorsed by the customer before leaving the work site.
- Ensure that workshop health and safety rules are complied with.
- Ensure that tools, equipment, and workstations are always kept clean.
- Participate in training (and self-training) courses offered by the After-Sales Department.
- Perform any other work-related duties assigned to you by the company.
