We looking for a PARTS PICKER PACKER/DRIVER M/F  based : South Africa

 

 

Job description:

 

Minimum Requirements:

  •         Grade 12 qualification/ equivalent.
  •         Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  •        Computer skills
  •         Experience in the motor retail industry beneficial.
  •        Clean criminal record.
  •        Valid and unendorsed SA Code 8 driver's license.

 

  • PURPOSE OF POSITION:
  •         To pick parts as per picking slip and issue
  •         To check daily and stock order parts against packing slip
  •         To do perpetual stock checks
  •         To keep warehouse neat, clean and tidy

  • Practical knowledge of:
  •  
  •        Driving
  •        The retail motor industry.
  •         All related products/ supplementary items/ brand.   
  •         Time management skills
  • Proficient experience in:
  •  
  •         A neat and professional appearance and behaviour at all times.
  •        Deadline-driven and the ability to work under pressure.
  •        Customer relationship-building skills.
  •       Effective negotiation and persuasive influence.
  •        Honest, ability to work unsupervised and a disciplined work ethic.

Profil request:

 

Job Specification:

  •         Pick parts as per picking slip/invoice to issue to workshop/customer/dispatch.
  •         Check daily and stock order parts against packing slip/invoice and bin in the correct bin location.
  •       Do perpetual stock checks and check physical count against computer count.
  •        Keep warehouse neat, clean and tidy and ensure that all parts are stored in their correct bin location.
  •         Ensure all parts are correctly labeled.
  •        Update superseded parts with superseded part numbers/bin location.
  •         Check all returned parts for correctness and/or damage.
  •      Ensure that all parts picked by yourself are checked by another                 picker/packer.
  •       Assist with all stock takes.
  •         Carry out any other tasks allocated by the Parts Supervisor/Manager from time to time.
  •      Assist with bi-annual stock-take.
  •       Ad hoc admin/ other responsibilities as and when required.
  • Drivers Responsibility:
  •  
  • Must obey all traffic rules, driver will be liable for all fines.

  • Vehicle should be clean and tidy at all times; random inspections will be done at any time.

  • Make sure all pod and delivery books are signed day

  • Assisting in parts warehouse

  • Assist in receiving and dispatch

  • Time management

  • Ensure all deliveries done timeously

  • Be able to converse in a professional manner with customers
     

Customer Care:

Be neat and tidy at all times.
Daily use of staff uniforms


Able to converse with customers in a professional manner.
Administration:

  • Keep updated and comply with all applicable Group/ Dealer/ OEM prescribed policies and procedures.

  • Complete all documentation in full according to company procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and collect all monies due to the company upon delivery of the vehicle.

  • Ensure demonstrator/ company car is kept in showroom condition.
    Product/ Industry Knowledge:
  • Attend all parts meetings, product/ business updates and training courses as required by management.

  • Keep updated with new motor industry trends with self-study of relevant reading material.
